Our vision is to be a welcoming gateway to Hawke’s Bay and to be recognised as a major contributor to the economic development of Hawke’s Bay.
Airport Noise Boundaries
Hawke’s Bay Airport has experienced considerable growth in passenger numbers and it is expected that this growth will continue into the future. The Airport is seeking to change the provisions in the City of Napier District Plan to expand the size of the Airport Noise Boundary. The purpose of expanding the Airport Noise Boundary is:
• To ensure that the Airport can continue to operate in its current manner and grow in response to demand for flights into the future to meet the needs of the Hawke’s Bay region.
• To provide confidence and assurance to neighbouring residents that the Airport will continue to operate as a responsible neighbour.
• To identify areas within Napier where Airport noise is anticipated in to the future to give residents advanced warning that they are living in an area that is exposed to noise from Airport operations.
Airport Business Park
Another project at Hawke’s Bay Airport is the development of an Airport Business Park, located south of the ABB building and adjacent to the new Airport access road. The Airport Business Park will be an area of land developed for clean business activities and designed to utilise its unique location and proximity to the State Highway. The Business Park will facilitate employment and growth opportunities for Hawke’s Bay. The Airport is currently developing a request for changes to the existing Airport Zoning in the City of Napier District Plan.
The Directors and Management of Hawke’s Bay Airport are warmly inviting anyone who would like to hear more about these projects, to two Public Meetings: Saturday 19th of August 2017 from 2pm to 4pm or Sunday 27th of August 2017 from 2pm to 4pm in the upstairs Boardroom at the Airport Terminal.
For catering purposes, please RSVP to olivia@hawkesbay-airport.co.nz by Wednesday 16th of August 2017.
