During alert level three there will continue to be extensive restrictions to personal movement, travel and transport. The number of passenger flights to and from Hawke’s Bay will be minimal with Air New Zealand announcing a skeleton schedule of 3x flights/week between Napier and Auckland during this period.
The airport reminds anyone planning to travel that they must only do so under the following essential circumstances:
-
Workers travelling to do essential work
-
Shared bubble arrangements
-
Relocating a home or business
-
Those travelling for medical reasons
-
Emergencies and giving effect to court orders
-
Those who have an exemption to travel because of compassionate reasons
-
Foreign nationals leaving New Zealand
-
New Zealand residents in the Realm returning home, and
-
People arriving in New Zealand from overseas and returning home after 14 days isolation/quarantine at port of arrival (except air and marine crew)
No other travel is allowed.
During alert level three access to the terminal will be restricted to those travelling and this will be strictly enforced. Exceptions will only be made in situations where the travelling person requires a support person from within their bubble to assist them ahead of boarding or through the arrivals terminal. The terminal will be opened to travelling persons 60 minutes prior to a flight.
We thank you for your continued support.
