COVID 19 Protection Framework - RED
From the 3rd of December 2021, New Zealand moved from the COVID-19 Alert level system to the COVID-19 projection framework otherwise known as the traffic light system.
As of Monday the 24th of January 2022, Hawke's Bay along with the rest of New Zealand is at the RED traffic light setting.
Traffic light guidelines can be found here https://covid19.govt.nz/, but what are the rules when coming through the airport terminal?
- Wearing a mask is mandatory while inside the terminal building
- You will not need to show a vaccine passport to enter the terminal. However from December 14th 2021, all passengers aged 12 years and above will be asked at check-in to present proof of either: a current vaccine passport or proof of a negative test within 72 hours of the flight
- Practice good hygiene and if you are feeling unwell, stay at home and get tested
- And lastly always be kind and respectful to airport staff and other people travelling. We are here to support everyone's safe and healthy journey.
If you have any questions about moving around the terminal reach out to our friendly airport team on 06 834 0742 or firstname.lastname@example.org
