Olivia Pierre apppointed as Aeronautical and Infrastructure Manager

Hawke’s Bay Airport Limited has appointed Olivia Pierre to the newly created role of Aeronautical and Infrastructure manager.

Ms Pierre sees immense opportunities in the continued growth of the airport and will be focused on the Airport Company’s relationships with its existing clients together with securing new clients for the Airport’s Business Park.

Her focus will include the continued development of Airport infrastructure to meet client requirements and to improve the overall customer experience for visitors to the Airport. Hawke’s Bay Airport chief executive Nick Story said Olivia’s extensive background within airport environments including roles at Air New Zealand was a significant factor in her appointment.

Ms Pierre’s experience includes management of Air New Zealand’s parking business enterprises in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and project management involving regional airports. She has also been the Airport Manager for Air New Zealand’s operations at the Hawke’s Bay Airport.

“We have some exciting business development projects underway and Olivia has the knowledge, experience and industry relationships to ensure success in her new role.

“It’s also a huge advantage that Olivia has an in-depth understanding of Hawke’s Bay Airport and our many stakeholders and business partners,” Mr Story said.

Ms Pierre said there are many benefits for prospective business park clients and she is looking forward to engaging with businesses that may be attracted by the park, due to its placement on the airport site and in close proximity to the Napier Port, rail and the State Highway.

“If you’re looking to get product in our out of Hawke’s Bay, the Business Park is ideally situated to all transport options in airfreight, sea freight, rail and road.

“It’s great to have ABB as a large scale anchor client and we are working in partnership with Colliers to respond to interest from businesses across a range of industry sectors whom are considering relocation options.

“We are flexible as to land areas available and with this comes a wider range of options and solutions for prospective clients.

“Having previously been the airport manager for Air NZ, I have a great insight into the design of the terminal, what our customers value and how we’re best able to utilise space to create a unique Hawke’s Bay experience for passengers and visitors.”

Hawke’s Bay Airport is recognised as one of the best regional airports in New Zealand and Ms Pierre said the aim is to be number one. “With what we have planned, becoming the number one regional airport is very achievable,” she said.
